👋 About Me

Hello and welcome to my profile!

I'm a technology enthusiast with a particular passion for computer networking, Linux, servers, homelabbing, open-source software, and IT infrastructure.

Beyond technology, my interests include gaming, music, 3D printing, cryptocurrencies, and various fandom communities.

Below, you'll find some interesting facts about me, my hobbies, future plans, and a collection of games, movies, and TV shows I've experienced over the years.

🧑‍💻 A Few Things About Me

💻 Technology, Education & Homelabbing

  • IT is one of my biggest passions. I'm particularly interested in computers, computer networking, server administration, and IT infrastructure in general.

  • During my studies at secondary school, I successfully obtained the Cisco CCNA 1 and CCNA 2 certifications.

  • I've been running and maintaining my own homelab since 08.11.2021. Over the years, it has become one of my main personal projects and a place where I can experiment with networking, servers, virtualization, and various technologies.

  • I used to be a long-time Microsoft Windows user, having worked with Windows XP, 7, 8.1, 10, and 11. However, since 2021, I've been actively exploring and using Linux. Today, both my household and I use CachyOS as our daily operating system. In 2026, I also started using macOS. Since 2024, I've attended LinuxDays every year.

  • Since autumn 2026, I've been actively integrating artificial intelligence and automation into the management of my homelab, primarily using Ansible to simplify configuration, deployment, and infrastructure maintenance.

🛠️ Hobbies & Other Interests

🎮 Gaming

  • I'm an enthusiastic gamer who primarily enjoys first-person shooters, sandbox games, and occasionally strategy games.

Some of my favorite gaming franchises and titles include:

    • DOOM
    • Wolfenstein
    • Quake
    • Minecraft
    • Warcraft III, especially with its Czech voice acting

I particularly appreciate games with interesting mechanics, immersive worlds, and memorable gameplay experiences.

🎸 Music

₿ Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies

  • Since 2025, I've been interested in cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin (BTC). I enjoy learning about the technology, decentralization, financial sovereignty, and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.

I've also been attending BTC Prague annually since 2025.

🚀 Future Plans & Goals

Technology never stands still, and neither does my homelab.

Here are some of the projects I'm planning for the future:

  • Upgrade my rack's network infrastructure to 10 Gbit/s Ethernet, improving bandwidth and connectivity between my servers, storage devices, and networking equipment.

More projects and goals will be added over time.
